Issues Resolved since the last GA release (8.2.73.0)

DataGate Client

  • Case 12212. Release registry key handles for database names found in win32 registry.
  • Case 12152. Do not send reference field definitions to server if no reference file is defined.

DataGate Server

  • Case 12180. Corrected calculation of remaining node capacity to trigger a split when the node is 100% full.

Monarch Web Controls

  • Added instrumentation to Monarch Framework to assit diagnosing the problem described in Case 12259.
  • Case 12237. Virtual row returned by subfile is incorrect for multiple row subfile record.
  • Case 12189. Receive error when trying to retrieve messages with embedded data fields.

Upgrade Assistant

  • Case 12306: Changed background color for result labels in page 6 of the wizard. Win7 styles have the old background black.
  • Case 12300: Subfile was output with default value. Removed default value.
  • Case 12190: Fixed crash when using a control array as DCLPARM argument in an EXSR.
  • Case 10791: assignment of char to decimal converted to MOVEL.
  • Case 12132: Remove FILL when CONCAT's target is *string (e.g. when Classic CONCAT has a control fld in target)
  • Case 12131: Fixed translation of free-standing control fields.
  • Case 12129: Fixed DS using scalar field instead of array field as superfield for an overlay.
  • Case 12139: Converted MOVE where source is non-memunit type into assignment.
  • Case 12140: Added *ByRef to EXSR parms that need it.
  • Case 12133: Fixed bug in control arrays which prevented certain controls in control array containers to be processed.
  • Reworked serialization based on IOleMessageFilter. See Case 7919.

Visual RPG IDE

  • Case 11817: Fixed problem with ActiveX controls when you add more than one control from the same library to a form. In this situation, the second control fails to get added to the form correctly.
  • Case 12227: Fixed bug where IntelliSense on an array declared with the LIKE keyword crash VS. This was happening due to a stack overflow (infinite loop in the call stack). This fix only addresses the crash. We still don't support the LIKE keyword in IntelliSense (there is an enhancement request in Case 12232).
  • Case 12229: Fixed crash when adding a COM reference. Also fixed a property window for newly added COM references.
  • Case 7512: Fixed bug where a null reference exception was being thrown when trying to add Form1.Designer.vr by itself.
  • Case 11817: Fixed bug where adding certain ActiveX controls to a windows form was crashing VS.
  • Case 12170: Fixed bug where event handlers were not being updated correctly when making round trips between the designer and code views. This was a side effect of the change to speed up the round trip.

Visual RPG Runtime

  • Case 12145. Fixed access to registry keys when deleting keys or values.
  • Related to Case 12122. When the process of ending the programs takes longer than the 20 seconds timeout we have in Global.asx RequestShutdown, then we would log an un-necessary error in the Windows Application log. Removed this last log to avoid confusion.
