SUMMARY

DataGate OLE print files are taking an extraordinary amount of time to open.

DETAILS

Customer has discovered that opening DataGate print files can be significantly delayed when MacAfee VirusScan Enterprise version 8.6.0i is installed.

A print file that would otherwise open in 9 seconds took 1 min 15 seconds to open when this anti-virus software was installed.  The same delay occurs whether the opening of the print file occurs in the Print File Manager program or when opened by an AVR application.

RESOLUTION

By installing MacAfee VirusScan Enterprise Version 8.7.0i this issue was resolved. 

After installing this later version it takes 14 seconds to open the print file.
