Error 683: QUSCRTUQ create user queue OS/400 api failure.

SUMMARY

SYMPTOMS

After installing Datagate400 you are unable to connect because you're get the error "QUSCRTUQ create user queue OS/400 api failure". Other users with more authority may be able to connect successfully while other users cannot.

CAUSE

The cause for this error is that there is not enough permissions for either the DG8SVCPRF user profile, the user profile, or a group profile (if used) to create the *USRQ objects in the installation library.

RESOLUTION

Possible solutions:

Install Datagate400 using QSECOFR profile.
Verify that the profile DG8SVCPRF has *ALL permissions to the installation library and the ASNA_DG8 library.

Verify that installed library has *Public *Change authority.

If group profiles are used, make sure that the profile also has *CHANGE permissions to the installation library.
